As peat is effectively a non-renewable resource, the extraction of peat for horticulture is unsustainable, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and damage to rare habitats and archaeology.

With our goal being to eliminate the use of peat in all our products in the near future, we have already hit a 20% reduction across our entire nursery over the past few years.

Along with our reduced peat usage, we are aiming to switch all our plastic use to RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate). We are proud to be at the forefront of the move to recycled and recyclable pots. As one of the original nurseries to run trials with RPET packs and pots, we continue to work towards improved environmental impact.
